About the production

In Southern Ireland the “Debs” dance has come to mark the end of schooldays, a romantic night-to-remember that represents the transition from childhood to maturity. In reality it is often a cripplingly expensive evening of heartbreak or alcoholic excess, culminating with the exhausted and dispirited participants trailing through the streets of Dublin in their bedraggled finery.
