A new musical by Paul Mercier and John Dunne.
This play is an adult world acted out by young people. The musical is set in the 1950’s and recreates the style and atmosphere of that era but tells a story that expresses a view of today’s youth. It is set in an imaginary city in the middle of an election campaign. Dan McCarthy is running for Mayor. He has the support of the mobsters who own the town’s most popular nightclub. The old Mayor refuses to bow to the new generation who are eager to inherit and control. There is great expectation and excitement. Then into this world bursts Joey Flynn, a convicted murderer who escapes from jail and returns to clear his name…
