Description

A workshop focusing on audition techniques facilitated by Katie O’Halloran

Come prepared with a monologue or song you’d like to use for an audition. Whether you’re auditioning for a school or professional production, drama school, or want to enhance your auditioning skills, this workshop will give you the tools you need to walk into an audition space and feel confident in your work. You can sign up for a mock audition slot, for which you’ll need to bring in a 1-2 minute monologue or 32-bar cut of a song and be prepared to perform and receive feedback in front of the group. You can also sign up for an observer slot, which means you will watch and learn from the work of those who have chosen to sign up for a mock audition. We need at least 4 mock auditionees, but everyone is welcome to observe. If it’s of interest to the actors involved, we can also discuss how to interview in an audition setting. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the techniques, tips, and tricks that make for a successful audition!

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SIGN UP FOR AN ‘AUDITION’ SLOT PLEASE EMAIL admin@dublinyouththeatre.com IN ADVANCE OF THE WORKSHOP! (if you need help finding a monologue, let us know)
