The last two weeks have been exciting for DYT: we moved our office to Curved St in Temple Bar where we worked full tilt in preparation for our Open Day that took place last weekend. The move is the first phase of our presence in Curved St and we are excited for the day in the future when, after renovations, we will be able to hold our Open Day in the same building. In the meantime, we will continue working with the city centre venues as we have in previous years.
One venue we want to thank in particular is the James Joyce Centre who hosted our Open Day for the second year in a row!
This year’s Open Day saw over 100 applicants audition for Dublin Youth Theatre, and we were delighted to offer places to 37 new members who will be starting their DYT journey in October. As well as looking forward to the day we can host our Open Day in our own space; we are also looking forward to when we will be able to have a bigger intake of members each year.
