Joining us for Ask The Pro on Tuesday, April 28, 7.30pm is… Denise Gough

Denise Gough is an Irish actress and is the younger sister of DYT’s interim GM, Angie Gough 🙂

Denise is a two time Olivier Award winner (Actress, People Places & Things, 2016 & Supporting Actress, Angels in America, 2017) and Tony award nominee (Angels in America, 2018). Here’s us in the loo after she won the first. It was crazy brilliant, and it changed her life (mine too).

Denise wins an Olivier...

The internet says: she is also notable for her work in theatre and television, including the play The Painter (2011) and Messiah V: The Rapture. She’s one of 50 Irish actors taking part in the Abbey’s “Dear Ireland” series, performing a one woman show from her tiny bathroom. She’s also doing a zoom play with Headlong and we’ll hear more about that on Tuesday.

Angie says: that she is notable for her unique ability to eat burgers for dessert, fit into shoes that do not fit and entertain children in a lockdown.

If you’ve got a question about moving to London as a teenager, making it in theatre, dressing for the red carpet, or how to win awards for acting, now’s your chance to… ask the pro!

See you Tuesday at 7.30.

ABOUT ASK THE PRO

DYT members – present and past – and friends are invited to join us, from the comfort of your own home, for a series of weekly Question & Answer sessions with experienced theatre professionals.

Each week, special guests (many of whom are ex-DYTers) will tell us a little bit about their journey, how they got to where they are, who and what inspired them, the challenges they faced to make it and what they’re up to these COVID days.

If you’ve got a question about theatre, being (or becoming) a theatre professional, now’s your chance to #askthepro.
