The 24 Hour Plays Dublin is back for a 3rd annual presentation!

After sell-out shows in 2012 and 2013, The 24 Hour Plays Dublin is back for the third year in a row to benefit Dublin Youth Theatre.

Once again this annual fundraiser promises to delight and excite as Ireland’s leading actors, playwrights, and directors of stage and screen return to create, rehearse, and present 6 brand new short plays in just 24 hours! Previous participants include actors Pauline McLynn, Peter Coonan, Ian Lloyd Anderson, Eleanor Methven, Janet Moran, Keith Duffy, Aonghus Og McAnally, playwrights Fiona Looney, Arthur Riordan, Tom Swift, Deirdre Kinahan, directors Garry Hynes, Annie Ryan, Wayne Jordan and Alan Stanford, with a special musical performance by Lisa Hannigan. On Sunday, 2nd March, both veterans and first timers of The 24 Hour Plays Dublin will join forces for this very special night of theatre. Get your tickets today!

Dublin Youth Theatre is a registered charity celebrating its 37th anniversary this year. Since its foundation it has forged a unique contribution to Irish theatre and youth work. DYT currently has a membership of 120 young people aged 14-22 from all across Dublin attending on a weekly basis.

The 24 Hour Plays® originated in New York in the mid-90s and is now an annual benefit on Broadway, at the Old Vic in London, and around the world. The 24 Hour Plays® is presented under a license and with the participation of The 24 Hour Play® Company, New York.
